No Whites Allowed: Southern Baptist Seminary School to Hold ‘Minorities Only’ Job Fair

“Based on a tip, Pulpit & Pen learned that New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, one of the Southern Baptist Convention’s six seminaries, is hosting a job fair and faculty hiring event for ‘minorities only,’” Pen & Pulpit said.

“We spoke to Jennifer at the Dean of Students Office, who confirmed that the event was for only non-Caucasians,” the report continued. “She reiterated that it was not an ‘outside job fair,’ but was only for staffing positions within the seminary and was an ‘inside job fair.’”

This is the third recent event that will openly exclude white people. Wake Forest University announced at the end of April that it will host minorities-only faculty meetings.

The College Fix obtained a copy of the email, which specified the details of the meetings:

–For faculty/staff who identify as faculty/staff of color: Monday, April 22 at 4:00 pm in ZSR Room 476 (we will be joined by Associate Dean Erica Still)

–For faculty/staff who identify as faculty/staff of color: Thursday, May 2 at 11:00 am in ZSR 476 (we will be joined by Associate Dean Erica Still)

–For staff who identify as staff of color ONLY: Monday, May 6 at 4:00 pm in ZSR Room 477
