Kamala Wishes Us Happy Indigenous People’s Day

If someone doesn’t like Christopher Columbus, he is saying he doesn’t like European discovery and settlement of the New World. In other words, he thinks America should never have existed.

In 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris said European settlers unleashed a wave of “devastation” as part of a “shameful past.”

In 2019, she said she would rename Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day:

The 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States will be during the next president’s term. Under a President Kamala Harris, this would undoubtedly be self-flagellation rather than celebration.

The execution of the 38 Dakota refers to Abraham Lincoln’s decision to hang 38 Indians who rebelled against federal authority in Minnesota in 1862 and massacred 490 Americans. It was the largest mass execution in American history, though Lincoln commuted the sentences of more than 200 other Indians.

Last year, a former police chief was run down on video by a black and a Hispanic. His daughter insisted that the attack had nothing to do with race. Maybe she changed her mind after the attackers laughed and made vulgar gestures at the victim’s family in court.

The black killer is expected to go on trial next month.
