If you haven’t subscribed to American Renaissance, here’s what you’re missing in the February 2010 issue:

  • How to Build Your Own AR Club: Attorney Reilly Smith recounts how he and a several other AR supporters whom he met at an American Renaissance conference decided to meet regularly and organize an AR club. The Chicagoland Friends of AR is now in its eighth year of monthly meetings. Mr. Smith offers suggestions to readers on forming their own local clubs, how meetings should be conducted and what activities have proven the most fruitful. He also offers tips on outreach and how to handle potential disrupters. The article includes a section explaining how the AR staff can discretely assist in bringing local subscribers in contact.

  • Walking on Eggshells (Part II): Samuel Trueaxe concludes his essay on the oppressive constraints whites face in multicultural America, where even the most innocuous word or phrase can force groveling apologies—and even end careers. Mr. Trueaxe shows how minorities have a de facto veto over what terms whites can use, while remaining free to revel in their open expression of hatred toward whites. Finally, he considers possible trends of resistance to this double standard.

  • The 2010 Census: In this selection, James Schneider, founder of the Center for Perpetual Diversity, examines the tangled maze of categories for race in the forthcoming decennial census. In another example of dual standards, Mr. Schneider finds that the Census takes great pains to differentiate dubious distinctions between various non-white racial types, even contriving pseudo-categories that plainly denote no significant racially different groups. Yet the category for “white” is expanded to broadly include groups never previously considered Caucasian—possibly concealing the true degree of white displacement in the US.

  • The Belgian Government Applies Sharia Law: The steady Islamization of Europe continues, as revealed in further detail by Belgian writer Guillaume (whose surname is withheld to avoid arrest for hate speech). Belgian prisons now forbid pork for all inmates to accommodate halal dietary restrictions. Public schools are following suit in both dietary practices and dress codes. The halal certification requirements serve a monopoly interest that enriches Muslims at the expense of naive European businesses, along with Muslim banks, doctors, grocers, travel agencies and numerous other concerns. Sharia courts are now increasing, with 80 such tribunals in Britain alone. European accommodation of Muslims has become the rule, and is effectively unchallengeable.

  • In Gloom, Despair and Agony, assistant editor Stephen Webster reviews We Are Doomed: Reclaiming Conservative Pessimism, by noted conservative author John Derbyshire. In a witty but thoroughly scathing indictment, Mr. Derbyshire ruthlessly calls out mainstream conservatives for their chronic failures on every significant front of the culture wars, with particular focus on the surrender to multicultural madness. Mr. Webster summarizes the absurd results of this squeamish behavior by relating several examples noted by “the Derb.”

  • Plus, speaking English can be deadly, a high school closes its science labs for being too white, illegal immigration goes high tech, tuberculosis stages a dramatic comeback, Kwanzaa fizzling, and more!
